Description
Just received from the city:
"Thanks for taking the time to appeal your citation (6418343). This citation was issued for the following violation: 56 - Residential parking zone. At this time, your appeal has been declined." This was for my expired permit in first time Zone 17.
Of course I will pay, but I implore that the real violators of Zone 17 parking, the non-resident restaurant patrons, be ticketed at the times that really matter - every night and the entire weekend. The city could make a small fortune.

S Water and the residential zones are all on regular rotations for beats.
@frank once you re-register your vehicle then there is a process for the ticket to be voided by ordinance. I'm digging into your appeal and the permit; it looks like our staff should have administratively accepted your November appeal once you received the new permit in December. Usually, this is handled at the time of permit issuance - customer is given the new permit and they walk down to TT&P to have the ticket voided.
Someone should be reaching out to address the refund issue. Don't forget - September is only a few months away! Hopefully we'll have a better permit process in place by then.

I've attached a heat map of the enforcement of 2017 residential zone parking tickets.
