there is a growing hole near this address. we initially reported it in October. 764981 after placing a sandbag in the hole, it was reported as fixed but has continued to grow in both width and depth. it is a risk for drivers and cyclists.

Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.

Thanks for the report. Due to the danger to cyclists, this issue is being submitted to Oakland as a "TOP 10" for immediate attention under an agreement with the Bike East Bay Hazard Elimination program.

Tacy, the city of Oakland's government is *extremely* corrupt. There are no words in the English language to describe the level of corruption and depravity prevalent here. They have done this so many times to people on this site I've lost count. They have closed literally hundreds of issues without doing a thing. What's happening is they're logging the hours as if they did the work but didn't actually do squat. They just do the paperwork to make it look like they did it. This way, they get an easy paycheck at the expense of honest folks like you and me. This is just how Oakland does it, and it's only going to get worse.

Hazard report re-opened due to the danger to cyclists. This issue is again being submitted to Oakland as a "TOP 10" for immediate attention under an agreement with the Bike East Bay Hazard Elimination program. Hopefully it WILL be fixed this time.
