Last summer they delivered "free" copies to people in the Heights who did not want them, even w/ repeated calls fro them to please stop. When I noticed that the papers said "Compliments of Yale Athletics," I called that office at Yale, who was shocked. they said, "That's not how that is supposed to work." The free, unwanted papers stopped coming. So, see if your papers there say "Compliments of..." and then call the client. They will surely be happy to know that their ad $ is being wasted.

If NH Register advertsisers realize that they are paying for circulation that includes newspapers that no one reads or even want, then it will have impact!

i've noticed piles weeks high in front of houses clearly unoccupied. i hadn't known it was as big of a problem as this. so lame, register. guess who is no longer spending the occasional fifty cents for doing your crossword puzzle? this girl.

I hate to even comment on this , but .. Home delivery for the Reg. must be way down , and probably is. Definitely fudging the #'s for advertisers
I'm surprised the good ole Register is not deleting these comments or the whole report from it's site.
I like the Reg. - i read it every day , remember when New Haven had a morning and an evening edition.
I like to go to a store and buy my paper with a coffee or juice in the morning.
I don't like getting there and discovering they didn't get the Reg that day , which is many days of the week. Not really a big deal since there's not much to it these days. I think one problem the store had was the Reg still trying to charge for the undelivered papers. One guy set up a camera and at 5 am a Register van pulls up and out hops the guy and away goes the Reg.
A lot of to do over absolutely nothing i know , but a mystery nonetheless. One van guy drives the street hawkers around, he might hustle a $20 bill out of it , but that's about it.
One van guy notices papers missing from his honor boxes , ten papers missing and fifty cents in the box.
But with all that stealing from each other here's people throwing them every where !???

The Register online has the trashiest, most racist, hate-filled comments I have ever encountered.
Every once in a while they throw their newspaper on my front lawn for a few days in a row. It makes for good kindling during the colder months.

It's not really an issue. They do this to gain subscribers
