Description
Ever since the family that owned this property sold it and moved away, there has been a constant flow of cars and people coming and going. I can't find it on airbnb, but it looks like this property is essentially being run as a short-term rental. I don't believe the owners even live there.
Burlington needs to regulate these properties that use various apps to skirt the laws and regulations that reputable businesses and landlords follow. I doubt this property meets safety regulations for an inn, and Adsit Court is supposed to be a low density residential neighborhood. If the owners want to rent out their property, they should be doing it as a long-term single family home lease and comply with various rental regulations.
There's also the issue of driving up rents for long-term rentals by moving to this short-term model.
Burlington needs to figure out how to deal with this asap. Quality of the neighborhood is going down. ;-(

"Beautiful home located in downtown Burlington, VT. Secluded and quiet, yet only an 8 minute walk to Church Street, a 10 minute walk to City Market, and a 15 minute walk to the waterfront."
It's well reviewed: "Booked Katie's home for a friend's bachelor weekend. We were all very impressed with how nice this home is. It is very clean and open. The proximity to downtown Burlington cannot be beat -- just a short walk away. Would absolutely stay again!"
"What a great house in a great location! The house is even bigger than it looks in pictures! There were 7 of us and we all fit comfortably. Katie was extremely responsive. House is a quick walk to downtown Burlington. A wonderful trip, can’t wait to return!"
"This place was such a gem! We were a group of four couples visiting Burlington for the first time for NYE...."
And it's only $250 a night (plus, prorated from a 2 night stay, $35 cleaning fee, $29 taxes to city and state, and an AirBnb service fee.)
