Description

Location of pole is on the south side of 28th St mid-way between Peralta & Ettie Streets (see https://goo.gl/maps/T7VokN6WCRA2). This wood pole is leaning, is very old and has previously been "splinted" with metal, but is showing significant fracturing and wood splintering at its base and has deep cracks running up its full height = danger of collapse. The door of a wiring cabinet about 18 feet high is wide open, indicating possible tampering. See attached 6/24/18 photo - view is from sidewalk towards curb, showing pole's lean towards the west. Note freshly fractured, splintered wood at the pole base where it enters the concrete.
