Thank you for your diligence, neighbor! I wanted to add that there is daily trash being left outside of our home, which is directly across from the house that is currently vacant. Litter is left both on our lawn (due to the bus stop directly outside of our house), in addition to cars stopping to eat food and then generously dumping their garbage onto the curb. We are constantly cleaning up the street and curbs in order to maintain a nice, clean New Haven. Additionally, this corner is popular for drug activity, as I am constantly finding empty drug bags and dutch wrappers. It’s a real shame that there are no city trash receptacles more available to the community! It could significantly minimize this egregious littering concern in our neck of the woods!

Yes, I have a steady stream of liquor nips, blunt wrappers, drug bags, fast food wrappers, chicken bones and other food, and the past few weeks, someone has been using the sidewalk near my house and the driveway to put out cigarettes. I think they are from a resident or someone hanging out in front, as opposed to just being tossed out of cars.

I have asked several times for trash receptacles in Fountain, which is a busy pedestrian and car route, as well as bus route.

I may need to now install some sort of giant ashtray out front.

New owners, and issue resolved. However, this property will remain on my list to follow up on.
