Description

I live at 1461 73rd Ave and the sidewalk next to my driveway and the house next door at 1457 73rd Ave is too small. In order for a car to park there it either has to block part of my driveway or the driveway next door.

I am requesting that the curb be painting red because I am tired of cars constantly blocking my driveway. Many times I have to approach the car owners and request them to move my their car and many times I can't find the car owners because they are visiting other residents.

This is dangerous because sometimes I go to the wrong residents looking for the car owners and the residents become offended with me.

It does not good to call the police because this is not a priority and they take forever to come

This is causing not only causing an inconvenience but it is causing a hazard to my safety.

It also causes a hazard because blocking my driveway creates a hazard by preventing me from exiting my driveway which can make me late getting to work or to the hospital or anywhere else I need to go.

Also it is a drain on the police department to have to constantly call them for this problem. It would be easier and cheaper for the city to simply paint the curb red.

It is the City of Oakland's responsbiltiy to paint the curb red and it should have already been painted red because the City should have already known that this sidewalk is too small for parking.
