I hate to be the one to break this news to the City of New Haven but the Americans with Disabilities Act does, in fact, apply here. This violation of Federal law in front of a municipal town hall "302.1 General. Floor and ground surfaces shall be stable, firm, and slip resistant and shall comply with 302." was reported more than four years ago. if they can be dislodged by a force, then they do not "return to their original condition" after the force is removed as they are required to do. How long does the City of New Haven intend to remain in violation of Federal law by leaving this substantial limitation on the ability of people with disabilites to access a municipal town hall in place?
