This is Verizon and Thur contractor just ran the cable along the grass and fence of the common area to the house Does Verizon check on their contractors work it will get caught in the landscapers lawnmower and cause damage or personal injury

Howard County has submitted a report on your behalf, and the utility has indicated that they will look into the issue. This ticket will be closed in SeeClickFix.

This is very wrong. You continue to closse out tickets WITHOUT any actual work being done. There is no accountability or follow-up. The County approved the wire installation by BGE under the Building Code. The area is to be restored to Howard County Standards and it has been abandoned for MONTHS. This is a SCAM. Got a message from David Ball - Howard County Utilities - 410313-3052. 10{54 Yesterday. He wanted a call back. I did so and got VM. Left a telephone tag message, Mr. Ball called me again at 7:09 AM. Yhat is Correct 9 minutes after 7, Is that what happens when you leave a number? I worked until 11PM last night! I amswered and asked him if he ACTUALL WENT TO SEE THE DAMAGE, He said that he did not. I posted pictures, the location and even the BGE pole number. Why is this person afraid to get AWAY fron the COMPUTER and get out in the field to look at and correvt the issue. There is abandoned wire alll along Mayfield and it has been there for MONTHS. Our back yard is not the Crap Yard for unused or extra BGE supplies. BGE is notorious for service unreliability and this is another example. This wire has been left for months and Howard County has failed to POLICE their vendor. YOu would not want this left i your back yard and we certainly don't want it left in ours. Mr. Ball probably thought that calling at 7AM he would skirt his responsbility and just get to leav another voivce mail. Instead he woke up a very tired man who works hard to pay his taxes to pay his salary - although that seems to be a waste of taxpayer money. GET AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER AND GET OUT AND GET THESES DAMAGES CORRECTED BEFORE SOMEONE IS INJURED.

The Comcast Issue has been addresses - thank you comCast. However the BGE Cable remain. This cable has been laying there for over 3 months. When I spoke to BGE - "The Bully BGE" - they said it s "not in your back yard because it is in the utility right of way" Bully BGE has no right to use this as a storage facility or their personal junk yard just because it is in a ROW. The case lay regarding ROE/Easementsrequired them to be maintained and this is far from the sloppy work of BGE who thinks that because they are BGE they can dictate the rules and BULLY people and customers AND CONTINUE TO PROVIDE UNRELIABLE SERVICE. Please keep this item open until BGE repairs the landscape damages along Mayfield and cleans up the cables. I am all for service upgrades but thisshows ho BGE thinks they can push Howard County around and treat their customers poorly because they are BIG UTILITY. There is no reason why BGE should be allowed to leave cable remaining cut on the ground for months - regardless if it is in the ROW or not.

BG&E Stiil has not removed the abandoned wire (see above).
Comcast did not replace/repair the broken cable cap but simply place the broken cap over the wires again. It is completely cracked and unsecure.
Please escalate thesse items at HOward County and provide me with the contact name and number.

I did speak with Comcast. Mike was a true professional and had his team come ou and repair 3 busted boxes in our community, not just the 2 that I reported. Great conversation and follow -up. I ask that this issur remain open because the BIG BAD BULLY - BGE has still not removed the abandoned cable on Mayfield. I guess that they feel that they can disrespect residents and the request by Howard County to address this issue without regards and to simply ignore. Will the situation improve if I left the cable in front of the Maintenance facility gate instead of the Right of Way of our townhouse community that we maintain? We are not a junk yard or storage facility for BG&E. They did not even have the courtosy to fill the holes along the sidewalks caused by their contractors and young students going to Mayfield Middle will be walking to school soon. Are there any concerned parents who want there children minuvering abandoned wire and unrepair holes? BG&E is out of control

Can Howard do anything to correct this issue or does BG&E run our county?

Comcast was very prompt in repairing the broken Utility Box. However, the abandoned cable from BG&E Remains ALL along Mayfield Avenue. WHy has BG&E been permitted to leave this hazardous material along the roadway since APRIL, 2018? BG&E seems to dictate what they want to do in Howard County. Howard County needs t be responsve to taxpayers not big utility and bow to them!

This was assigned to Paul Kwiatkowski of Construction Inspections. I was told that he handles the BGE sub-contracting and his number is (410) 313-7562, Does he still work for Howard County? The issue remains. The concrete has been repaired but the surrounding area and abandoned cable has never been picked up. He has ignord telephone calls. Please escalate to a supervisor. Is he compensated BGE? It seems like he works for them.

BGE has hung the abandoned wire on the pole. Looks like crap but at least finally off of our HOA grass and the resident nearby has stopped complaining to the Board. Thank you.
