Description

The entrance gate to the railroad tracks is open which is allowing for illegal dumping. I don't know if the is City, State or Railroad property, but it's in desperate need of clean up.

Illegal dumping continues to be an issue in this location. This appearance is a terrible welcome to travels entering New Haven. This is a continuous problem, and adding to this awful sight is the piles of crushed automobiles at Atlas Auto which is located on the same side just prior to the railroad tracks. Isn’t this an EPA violation? Where do the fluids from the automobiles go? Is the close proximity to the river have any impact on the Quinnipiac River?

We are closing older Illegal Dumping issues from 2018 in order to focus on current Illegal Dumping issues. Many of the older issues were addressed through our regularly scheduled collection but never closed. Other trash issues include Parks trash and/or litter situations which were resolved.
