Can YOU (Pinellas County Parks Department) please tell us WHO you call at FDOT District 7, so that ANY future problems with this section of the Skyway Trail can go straight to the source rather than all of this 'Forwarding'...

Pinellas County Parks Department … The phone number you provided is the wrong group that handles that area. In fact they recommend contacting YOU, the Parks Dept. Also... What would be so terrible if some trash cans were added along the way? Yes, you have them where Motor Vehicles Park but along the trail, nothing. Maybe some of those illegal fishermen / fisherwomen, might even put their cans, bottles, fish hooks and fish parts into said containers IF they were there?

Hello, I have an additional number for FDOT and it is 727-575-8300. The section of the trail you are referring to is not under the Pinellas County Parks and Conservation Resources Jurisdiction, but I would like to get you the correct contact information so your report can be addressed. There is also a section of the trail that is handled by the City of St. Petersburg who can be contacted at 727-893-7111 and if it falls within their jurisdiction they will be able to assist you. Last time I was out there was towards the end of August. At that time the tree was still across the roadway. I will go out this week and verify. The people I spoke with did not call us back with word that this issue was completed.

The 3rd Party contractor for DOT did not get back to me as he said he would. But the work has been done. This issue can now be closed.
