why are the lights on at the blake playing fields every night, even though it seems there have been no games recently (as far as i can remember this summer) ?
it's 9:15 and no one is in sight there right now, but all the lights are on.

Hey Juli,
I did some looking into the lights situation. The lights in Blake Field are turned on automatically by the Parks Department after games are scheduled. Sometimes a team does not show up and the lights remain on. Next time this happens, particularly if it's a common occurrence, can you let us know the exact time and date? I just reported to the Parks Department about the specific incident you noticed.

thanks for checking this out. it had been especially perplexing because i really can't remember many games here this summer! (last summer i heard them almost every night).
i'll keep an eye on when they're on without need and post it here to track it when i can.
