Description
The lights for southbound Bangerter at 9800 South need to be green for a much longer time during the afternoon commute. I waited through 4 light cycles today in a one mile backup.. The traffic on 9800 South does not have to wait through 3-4 light cycles. This light is not operating correctly despite what UDOT has said when I reported this before.

Thank you for contacting UDOT. This intersection is the first time anyone will stop heading southbound after the newly completed overpasses. The intersection at 6200 S is experiencing the same issue. Currently the intersection at 9800 S is running at capacity and we are unable to make any changes until the final lane configuration is established. The northbound and southbound movements here already have the most time and back up the eastbound and westbound movements. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please see this website for additional information about the upcoming projects happening on Bangerter Highway.
