Are you part of the solution or part of the problem. Do you just complain about trash or do you pick it up and put it in the dumpster 25 feet away?

I live on Orchard Terrace and am constantly picking up trash and broken glass that didn't originate with me. Sometimes it is really spread all over and really discouraging. Today it would have taken an hour to get the junk off the streets and sidewalks.

I live in the area and am always picking up papers when I walk by. If we all did a part it will make a difference. Don't be afraid to help. There are several dumpsters close by and if others see you they will be inclined to help and maybe be a little more responsible.

It isn't just papers! It's broken beer bottles all over the street after a party, broken bottles in my driveway, whiskey bottles in my garden...I agree with you that we should all help and not just complain, and I do do pick up every day. That morning the photo did not really show the whole mess on the street. It was impressive and I was daunted. I don't see the folks who make the mess helping clean it up and after 6 years I do get really discouraged.

Is getalife a professional troll? What is the sense in berating someone for exercising their right to seek some remediation of a chronic problem?
