  THESE SIGNS DRIVE ME NUTS. THEY ARE LITERALLY ALL OVER THE CITY, BUT ESPECIALLY NEAR TRANSIT HUBS. IN THIS CASE THEY ARE AT 106TH/FOOTHILL. It does not seem like it would be hard to prosecute the offenders. Just CALL THE NUMBER on the posters! Write a tough law about this stuff. Allow reasonable provisions for political signage and yard sales and lost dogs. Then prosecute these for-profit polluters of public space. $100 first offense: $1000 each thereafter. That would stop the problem pretty quickly.

  The signs are posted on the corner of 106 and Foothill Blvd on public land. The location is across Foothill Blvd from the Foothill Shopping Center. There are three advertising signs on two poles that are too high to reach. Foothill Shopping Center’s address is 10700 MacArthur Blvd.

  These signs are all over Oakland and are in violation of city ordinance 5.06.020 - Regulations governing the posting of signs Sec A.2.a. Why is the city not upholding the law and citing these scofflaws. Neighborhood Law Corps 238-6628 NLC@oaklandcityattorney.org should going after them.
