Why is it that snow removal is such an issue? Does New Haven not have plows? This is my 9th winter living in New Haven and every year I anticipate that the snow removal will be better than the last and it's always a disappointment: as it never improves. There have been NO CARS parked on either side of Whitney Ave throughout the whole night, yet there is tons of snow still on the road this morning, making the commute into New Haven unbearable. Why does the city do such a bootleg and low budget snow removal? Why does Whitney Ave, a 4 lane road, always get reduced to a 2 lane road because the snow is never removed from the entire road, even when there are no cars parked on it? Why is this acceptable?
