Thank you for using this application to report an issue in the City of Albany. Please know that the report was received by this department and your issue has now been resolved.

Regardless of the reason, it's offensive that the City is marking many many issues as resolved that never were. It's not up to residents to have to report what we already took the time to report with photos, etc. It is the City's job to resolve these issues in a timely manner and continue working on them until you do; not disingenuously mark them as resolved when they never have been because the City is so far behind and it looks bad. That is the truth of the matter, however, and the only honest and ethical way to handle it. Accept responsibility for being behind and work on the issues. Stop closing them and dishonestly marking them as resolved. Again, the reason for doing so is not justification or appropriate. If ever you need surgery, for example, perhaps your doctor will just write, "resolved" on your file and skip the medical procedure. Do your jobs, please, like the rest of us.

A lot of these issues that are open are from 2018/2019. Covid has nothing to do with the city not addressing them. “Feel free to report a new issue so that we can ignore it and tell you we fixed it when 2024 rolls around.” How can you not understand resident frustration with this?
