Curious. How does it violate code? You can have up to a 6 ft fence, I thought.

Can someone post what the code is on this since a bunch of fences in this neighborhood have been complained about. Some of them have been in place for a long time.

That's Albany, Oregon. I finally found it in here on page 80. These were probably approved at the time they were done.

No problem city living. I found that page originally too. I just can't figure out why all of these houses are being targeted all of a sudden. Most of these fences have been there for quite some time. In the case of this house that is basically their backyard.

The most recent fence complaints seem to be coming from this poster. For some reason they find it an issue that they "can't see through the fence". The other posts were deemed not in violation. Kinda creepy and glad they aren't' my neighbor!

6 feet is not so tall that it interferes with aesthetics and people with dogs actually need them that high.
I am mostly grateful not to look into my neighbors' yards myself! LOL!

I would doubt anyone wants to look into these yards. Perhaps the poster could clarify what the issue is. But there are usually reasons for having code. I don't know about fences. Could hinder law enforcement or something. When you live in places of close proximity and are outdoors I suppose you shouldn't have cover if you are breaking the law. Could just be aesthetics, but there are far worse things than big fences if that is the case that could be enforced first.

Thank you for reporting this incident. A code enforcement officer has performed an inspection of the premises and has determined that no violations are in existence. This fence is from the back of the house and continues into the backyard. A 6 foot high fence is allowed on that portion of the property. A lower fence is only needed in the front of the house.
