we have a small barrier wall between the sidewalk and my home. People for whatever reason stop to have breakfast, lunch & dinner and then leave it all on my property. Sometimes they toss their chicken bones over our fence where our dogs are and we fear for their lives. We have tried a blanket trespass but by the time police arrive they have moved on OR the police get them to move but they Still Leave their garbage behind. Most times they say it is not their stuff but we installed THREE video cameras to show police, but they never want to look at them. PLEASE HELP US.

Put up a chain-link fence between the small barrier wall and the sidewalk. Might not be the look you’re going for but it would solve your problem. Or you could put spikes on top your barrier wall which should be a little less friendly but would also solve your problem. One thing for sure is you’re not going to reason with those types of people so talking with them is pointless. Also I’m worried about your dogs… Not just the chicken bones but if the dogs are able to make contact with the people you’re setting yourself up for a huge lawsuit. Those people would like nothing more than to get bit just enough so they could sue you so they wouldn’t have to work the rest of their lives! Also I had a guy lean over my 4 foot chain-link fence with a Big long log that he picked up because he didn’t like that my dog was barking at him while he walked on the sidewalk! At the time my dog was just four months old and had he made contact with her it probably would’ve killed her. Please do whatever is best for your poor doggies to keep them away from people who will harm them.

Faye King... 'Those People'... Did something come to your mind about certain people? Is your mind ready to put faces, religions, gender, height, weight or color the moment you see the words; 'Those People'? What is your thought process on this? Those People are anyone on two legs that would toss garbage into someone's yard, endangering family pets or even the people that live there.

Police have not yet arrived. Here is an enhanced photo. I have already collected 1 bag of crack in my yard and have tossed out a bunch of food cans, etc.

A few of the people on my property leaving food, beer cans, etc. Police arrived and I was advised that this is 'Their' day and not much they can do because of the new policy.

A person who tells me I don't count... Open alcohol containers, the strong odor of 'pot' and all the police can do is grit their teeth. The mayor and city council should be here, then they would know the fear residents live in when they allow these types of unlawful events to take place. No health certificates for vendors. Alcohol and herbs being sold out of vans, children 'Learning' from all of this.

It is now 8pm. ALL Police have left the area leaving residents at the mercy of the thousands still on the street. What kind of experiment is this that allows citizens to suffer against a mob rule. My fence has been broken in more then five places. It is dark out and won't be able to see more until daylight.

Thank You Saint Petersburg Police Department for coming out and putting a stop to this madness. Whatever group or groups forced the City of Saint Petersburg to lower the safety standards for their own use should be ashamed and be financially responsible for the damages to private property, cleanup and ALL the Overtime the Police, Fire & Sanitation Departments had to put in to keep our City and its residents safe.

I prayed - I prayed real hard for a peaceful MLK Day I did... and this happens. Another SAD day in St Prayers (we should be called this). Also why were there over 100 people gathering at that gas station? I get gas there all the time.....it's a gas station??????? Prayers to the innocent....
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) - Two people were killed and a third was injured during a triple shooting in St. Petersburg on Monday.

Police are on scene at 34th Street South and 18th Avenue South.

According to police, over 100 people were gathered at the Shell station at the time shots were fired.

Two men were pronounced dead at a hospital.

The other shooting victim suffered non life-threatening injuries.

All victims are adult men.

While police are not confirming the instances surrounding the shooting, there are often parties in the area following the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. parade.

Police made no arrests and handled no significant incidents related to the parade.

I agree Company Clerk....a city should NEVER lower their safety standards NEVER.....I don't care what day it is.....and now 2 more DEAD at the Shell gas station....PLEASE SPPD - never give up safety for our community..........
