Westbound Ford St between 29th Ave and 23rd Ave, across multiple travel lanes. Significant bike hazard.

OAK 311 has received this issue. Your service request ID is #870790. Thank you, in advance, for your patience as we work through a backlog of pothole service requests. Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.

Thanks for the report. Due to the danger to cyclists, this issue is being submitted to Oakland as a "TOP 10" for immediate attention under an agreement with the Bike East Bay Hazard Elimination program.

Robert, obviously the whole area is under reconstruction with changing traffic patterns. While I sympathize with your plight... please be a little patient... those of us who live here have been for the last years as they rebuild the intersections and overpasses.

BTW... from your pic, it looks like the other side where bikes actually travel is ok... this side where cars travel is rutted, but they will not notice it other than to slow down a bit (which is good).
