The flashing pedestrian crossing signs are in front of Count Administration Annex besides those flashing pedestrian sign there is a sheriff posted at the crosswalk. The next two picture are regular crossing signs. If you see one side says crosswalk is closed the other side says sidewalk closed cross here

On a daily basis I see people nearly getting hit by cars in this crosswalk. It’s very dangerous here. There used to be flashing lights to alert drivers of the crosswalk, but they are no longer there.

I also reported a pothole on the crosswalk on the same date Issue ID: 5401777 which has yet to even be acknowledged.

Being that I almost got hit by a car today here any status report for this crosswalk!!!!

We are in the process of reviewing our inventory of flashing pedestrian crossing signs. Thank you for your patience.

So from what I understand is that the flashing signs were taken down at this spot and put up in front of the Hudson County Annex where besides the flashing lights a sheriff is there in the morning. Your records show that they were there and should be there so why were they taken down and replace with non-flashing ones.

This location is under review for Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (user-actuated flashing warning signs). Please allow 3-4 months for this evaluation to be completed. We will follow up with our recommendations.
