We have daily groups of teenagers from Ferris H.S. spending their lunch hour on our stoop — private property. They do not have our permission to be there. They litter, make noise and are rather mean if we ask them to move and/or clean up after themselves. Calls to the school have gone nowhere — all they do is tell us to call the police. Can the city help in some other way, or offer concrete suggestions? We don’t want to ruin these kids’ lives; we just want them to stop using private property as their cafeteria and trash dump — and to stop throwing nasty words and glares our way when we assert our rights as property owners. We also want the school to address this domehow, as they’re letting the students out for lunch as a privilege. Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately, trespassing is a police matter regardless how old the trespassers are.
In addition, I will attempt to reach out to the administrators however this is a police matter.
Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me again. I can be reached at 201-547-4900, icruz@jcnj.org or on seeclickfix.

I spoke with the an administrative assistant who is going to discuss this issue with the principal and get back to me.
In addition, I will reach out to the East District to determine if they can have a patrol car in during the hours of lunch.
Ivette (La Caddeeyey Rasmi ah)
I spoke with the Community Relations Officer for the East District, she asked for a copy of the above report. She is going to look into this and email you soon.
Please let me know if you need anything else.

I have called the police dept’s non emergency line a few times. They recommended working it out with the school. The VP at the school I spoke to recommended I call the police. The only time I saw any action taken was when I reported the students go into our neighbor’s basement (building 381). That time a van branded w JC school system came by and corralled the students back to Ferris.
Ivette, thanks for coordinating with both.

Issue was brought to the attention of the school administration as well as the east district. I have suggested to the school administration to have a chat with the students and suggested to the east district to have a patrol car in this area.
Should you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at 201-547-4900 and/or email me at icruz@jcnj.org.
My hours are Monday-Friday 9am-4:30pm

They do not look, act, talk or interface on any level as "the kids."

I understand all of your frustrations and you are more than welcomed to send me your concerns via email with photos so I can forward to the East District however.
Unfortunately, the police, principal nor the superintendent use the seeclickfix method and will not be able to see your comments. I can assure you that I am relaying the messages and doing the best I can to address the issue.
If you truly feel you are in danger you must call the police using 911 or the non emergency number 201-547-5477
Reopened Haggis (Isticmaale Diiwaangashan)
This is not a "frustration" we are indeed frightened of these full grown men.

Haggis,
I also understand you are frightened. As I stated in my previous comment the police cannot see your post. I am relaying the message via phone and email directly to the community relations officer for your district. Unfortunately this is a police matter. If you are frightened then you must call the police.
I have just sent another email to the community relations officer and CCed the resident who first expressed the concern.
You are all more than welcomed to email/call me for updates. I am doing everything I can to address the issue.

Thank you for your "help" but as you can see, it's not working.
The 2 older men you see in the picture ARE the police. (yes, of course I call)
The frightening trespassers were back the very next day.
Now what?
