Description

The most littered part of the Canal Trail is behind the Home Depot in Hamden. Can Home Depot or the property owner please assign cleaning of the trail to the maintenance schedule. If it wasn’t for the trail, the garbage would be sitting at fence at the edge of their lot. This is a really bad look for Home Depot.

It sounds like litter is being deposited in the Regional Water Authority (RWA) wetlands that are located east of the Greenway. I'll confer with the property maintenance officer to determine what if any action has been taken to-date and then I'll follow up with a visit to the site.

The parks department located and public works that particular department litter picks the canal on a daily basis home depot area behind that store his letter picked at least twice a week it will never be ignored

I spoke with the property maintenance officer (AZEO Adam Zonas). Litter tends to accumulate on the Trail as well as in the nearby wetlands. Adam suggested that I re-direct this litter complaint to Al, the Litter Agent.
