I totally agree. I've been here for 29 years and this is the worst it's ever been.

The autobot reply from the city "acknowledging" the situation is very frustrating - but no action. One of the couches dumped had been on the sidewalk since May. This "dump" is a lawsuit waiting to happen against the city when someone has to walk in the street and gets hit by a car because THE SIDEWALK IS BLOCKED WITH TRASH.

Hey all - this spot (as well as other dumping hot spots 'round here) this week at NCPC meeting where one of Councilmember McElhaney's representatives was in attendance. Her office is advocating for us on these issues but also noted that things are backed up right now with mandatory furloughs and 4th of July holiday, Also I'm sure you know that different types of trash are picked up by different trucks/teams so sometimes items like mattresses or HAZMAT items remain longer than other items. The past several weeks is the worst turnaround I've seen in terms of pickup since I've lived here. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and expect things will get better soon, but if they don't, I recommend escalating to our councilmember.
