Amen! Many schools do not manage this well and it’s not setting a good example for the kids either. We have families running their kids across streets, dashing between cars, parents who drop their kids and either double park or otherwise illegally park while the “ just run in”, cut in and out of limes if waiting cars endangering both walkers and other drivers. It is insane and has been going on for years! APD could dispatch traffic control but it wouldn’t last anyway. Ticketing would msybe help for a little while

The parents are the worst!! Bad example for the kids!! Get in a single file line and WAIT YOUR TURN!! Similar issue at New Scotland Ele and that appears to have been fixed. Minimal complaints lately. Parents STAY HOME and wait for your kids to get home. Just a thought but maybe the School Board should care about the real issues and not the junk they yap about at Board meetings. BORING!

I often park away from the school and walk over and STILL get caught up in the excess traffic caused by ignorant parents.

These people park in front of my driveway every day too from about 2:20pm until 2:40pm. I've gone out and told them to move a couple times and always get met with attitude like I'm the one doing something wrong. I try not to push it too hard because I don't want my car to get vandalized. Would be nice if parking enforcement just cruised the surrounding blocks and nailed everyone with tickets every day.

Blocked driveway? Call APD 518-438-4000 quickly each time until someone comes, day after day, and maybe also call the School District offices and complain too.
