Please do something about this. A similar complaint has been filed several times and nothing has been done.

Many merchants on this street pile merchandise all along the sidewalk,and then they put trash on the other side. This is 7 days a week, year 'round. I do believe it's illegal to display food in this way and it's definitely illegal to block the sidewalk. I also believe nothing is done because electred officials would rather see the block look like a slum than lose a few votes. The rest of us do not matter.

I was by there this morning. Entire sidewalk on the south side, about 200' from intersection with Tonnelle, was covered with food merchandise.

Patel Brother's grocery store is on the north side of the street closer to Kennedy Blvd. However fast the products are dropped off during delivery time, it's how fast the products are brought into the store.

This is ridiculous. So the entire neighborhood has to live with food on the sidewalk daily, because the city does not care that food is stored on the sidewalk. It's a slum.

Mary , our REHS inspector inspected the area and spoke with owners of the establishment on Newark Avenue about the deliveries please be aware that deliveries are made daily to each establishment they store the merchandise promptly during the course of deliveries there are many trucks deliveries on daily basis . Our Division of Environmental Health inspect and investigate Health related matters. you may want to reach out to zoning Dept. for their initial investigation .
