Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.

  Should note as well that there was a large leak in the middle of the intersection in front of this current report in the past, the underlying issue does not appear to have been addressed and now the leak is further uphill.

  I just contacted EBMUD and they did not have a open service request for this location. They said they would send someone out? PWD call center referral rate is dismal at best.

  I also called EBMUD a couple days ago about this location - it's been leaking for months, I find it hard to believe it hasn't been reported yet (in fact I'd reported it before as well).

  This reactive stance that is being taken by our cities, county, state, EBMUB, PG&E and the feds of lets wait for the worst possible out come then scream if we only knew is not cutting it. Beyond dysfunctional.
