This is a case of an old country road that was paved long ago and that's it. Miller Lane is the same way and it gets more use now because of the light at 431. It needs widening but I don't see it happening.

Yes Miller Lane also. My request is for James Rd. Both roads do not even have lines painted on them. One car passes and your practically off the road. And yes more activity since the Cecil Ashburn closing and commercial and subdivision development. At least they fixed Old Big Cove Rd. Both Miller and James road needs desperate attention!!!

Nothing has been done. James Road is barely enough for 2 cars. There isn’t any lines painted on part of the road! And west end of James before you reach Miller Lane is so overgrown, it will scratch your car if another car is passing!!!!

This issue has not been addressed YET!!!! I have scratched the side of my car on limbs to keep from hitting an oncoming vehicle!!!

James Road is very dangerous from Miller Lane to Sutton!!! The intersection of Miller and James going South on James, the limbs and brush have overgrown the road that you scratch your vehicle if someone approaches. The toad is entirely two narrow for two cars, there are no lines painted on the road including a CENTER line. Deep ditches on side that you could fall in if someone doesn’t move over when passing!!! This is absolutely ridiculous that a road this populated has not been fixed!! Major subdivision Hampton Village, Hampton Cove Cemetery and New Salem Baptist Church contain heavy traffic on this road!!! Please let me know if this needs addressed as State, County or City concerns?!!!!

Nothing has been done to this road since the first report! Now work on HWY 431 and Sutton Road has more traffic on James Road. The road is entirely too narrow with over grown trees on James before the Miller Lane intersection. There a deep ditches in places that passing is hazardous!! This is a populated area and has not been fixed!! Major subdivision Hampton Village, Hampton Cove Cemetery and New Salem Baptist Church contain heavy traffic on this road!!! The problem with reporting this here is that the inspection of Jamas and Miller are a Madison County responsibility and not the City of Huntsville. It needs to be reported to the county. Take a look at https://maps.huntsvilleal.gov/citylimits/ and you can see that it is a county issue.

How do Madison county residents report road infringement and condition issues??? James Road in Madison County portion of the Big Cove area is brush and overgrown foliage issues at Miller Lane and south of the intersection. It is a bi directional road way and we 2 vehicles attempt to pass the infringing brush is damaging the vehicles.

Chuck 7-16-20 still no action taken on this issue. Even a resident on James Rd had to put up flags and logs to keep drivers from driving on the land to pass another vehicle. This road continues to be dangerous! Hampton Village subdivision and a Church bring high traffic on this small Road along with all residents that live on James Rd, Plainview and Deaton. School busses also go down this narrow road!!! Please help!! I’ve sent this request to the county with no response as well.

Close this nobody is going to do anything to this narrow road
