Description

Access to the sidewalk is always restricted and there is the smell of urine.
People live in the yellow bus, and 2 to 3 other vehicles have taken up perpetual residence in this spot. The bus, truck and a cars dump debris on the street and sidewalk at night. Shortly they'll rotate out of the spot, to allow it to be cleaned up. The reason this is important is that my kids ride bikes on this stretch of street. MacArthur is dangerous enough..but they can't ride on the sidewalk or in the street. How are they suppose to get to get around, to school, etc. Do we have to have a fatality, because children have to navigate around what's being pushed onto the street or sidewalk. Isn't safety a basic human right as well. When my kids get hurt because they run in to this stuff on the street while trying to navigate, who in the city should I place that call too? This is a public safety issue. If the city is going to allow this for whatever reason. Then provide a dumpster with a lid for their use only and set up some terms around it. I'm sure it encourages others to dump in that location as well. You can clearly see the debris on the side of the bus, a few feet in front of it is wood fencing and a few feet in front of that a mattress. How about a camera, situational awareness.
