Description
I am requesting that the 3-way stop at the Valley Lane/Creek Drive intersection be moved to the Limerick Lane/Valley Lane intersection. The Creek Drive intersection can be replaced with a yield sign on Creek, because no pedestrians cross Valley Lane at Creek (there is no sidewalk on the other side). The residents of Limerick Lane (including kids going to school and families walking to the park) must cross Valley Lane to get to the sidewalk and cars often do not stop for them (because they just stopped at the stop sign on Creek) and it is often a safety issue because cars are driving fast over the train tracks and you can't see them until they are already coming over the tracks. Moving the stop sign one intersection over to Limerick will keep pedestrians safe and continue to slow traffic. Win win.

Hello Neighbor,
Thank you for submitting your request to move the all-way stop on Valley Ln one block to the west to Limerick Ln. This intersection is scheduled to be reviewed for pedestrian usage- if a crosswalk is warranted.
Your patience is appreciated as resources are limited. If you have further questions or concerns, feel free to contact me directly at my contact information below.

Hello Neighbor,
Edina's Traffic Safety Committee reviewed the request for a pedestrian crossing at Limerick Ln and Limerick Dr over Valley Ln. Both intersections were reviewed and the data was combined to see if any crossing was warranted.
Pedestrian crossings did not meet warrants to install any crosswalks at these intersections. The Edina Transportation Commission will be reviewing this request on Thursday, February 20th at 6 pm in the Community Room at Edina City Hall and this is open to the public if you wish to attend and present your concern to the Commission. If you are unable to attend, feel free to submit online correspondence by following this link: https://edinadocs.edinamn.gov/Forms/contact
