Yes, A contractor to the City is repairing erosion damage from Hurricane Irma under a USDA NRCS Watershed Protection Grant. The contractor has had to temporarily close off the path along the drainage easement from the greenway trail adjacent to Waldo Road to the Walmart parking lot. The path closure is temporary. Pedestrians have been walking closely behind heavy equipment being operated by the City’s contractor. It has been necessary for the City’s contractor to hire an off duty law enforcement officer to enforce the closure after two near accidents involving heavy equipment and pedestrians climbing over the construction barricades occurred.
