Yep I agree. I've called and spoken to officers. Even THEY are tired of it. I don't want to call police every time I see something because its a waste of resources. Half the time the people see the police and leave. Its useless. WE NEED ENFORCEMENT FOOT PATROLS of this area DAILY.

I am tired of sitting in my living room at night and hearing a bunch of junkies have arguments out front.
I am tired of picking up copper chore boys because drug users use them.
I am tired of picking up baggies on my steps because drug users drop them
I am tired of walking down the street and having to dodge questionable people who are high
I am tired of walking down my street and seeing people drugs out in the open IN THE DAYTIME NEAR A SCHOOL.

Pleas spare me the "contact police" comment. I have contacted police, spoken to Chief Keyes and other officers more time that I want to admit. And every time very little is done. We get a sweep toward the end of the summer, but they are back a few months later bail.

I want action. I am tired of living on a street that is an open air drug den. The ONLY comment I want to see and hear is what CPD and the City has plans to combat the situation. I want action. not talk.

I could not agree more with everything on this thread. I have reached out to city officials and police only to receive comments that they are doing “something” it is a total waste...whatever they are doing. I want citizens to not give up as voicing our opinions louder is the only thing. That will enact change. Contact your reps in city hall continually and keep speaking up

I'd also suggest using the public speaking opportunities at City Council meetings to highlight the problems - show up at every meeting, and talk about the actual neighborhood experiences and the City's response (or lack thereof). Get it on the record - repeatedly.
