That's the point of why there's items in the middle of a roundabout. It forces drivers to approach with caution, and look for traffic.

Geoff- it is dangerous and some people don't slow down. It may be someone going to fast but let's give other drivers a chance to protect themselves.

And that is on the drivers, not how the roundabout works. Every accident you've seen there, has been due to over-aggressive driving, not because of the shrubbery. I pass through that intersection 2-3 times a day. I see what you're seeing, but removing the shrubs won't make drivers more aware, it will only make them more aggressive. There are plenty of signs about the roundabout in all four directions coming up to it. Wrecks happen there because of bad drivers, like they happen everywhere in Gainesville.

I am all about trying to help the other drivers who stain to see if any cars are coming. The yard fences and round about bushes do not allow them to see. Yes, aggressive drivers are the problem but at least help the careful drivers with better sight lines.

The round about needs to be re designed to force people to slow down even more.
