Thanks for reporting this, although there are already some other open reports for Jackson which on the north end is indeed one of the roughest streets in the downtown area. However, Jackson is not indicated in the Oakland Bike Master Plan as a bike route, and instead the one-way couplet of Oak (north) and Madison (south) have been selected, each of which will be getting paving improvements and bike lanes before too long.

thank you for the update. I admit my Oakland bicycle map is a little old. If Jackson was repaved it would most likely ease traffic in the surrounding neighborhoods.
