This issue is still not resolved and the sidewalk has been closed for 5 months and we see no progress to getting this reopened. This is completely unacceptable - when can we expect this to be resolved?
Given all the windy conditions from yesterday and the fact that this has been roped off due to a failing chimney, it seems this might need to be resolved quickly (It has been open for 5-6 months now!) I'd imagine it falls under the category of health and safety to qualify as an essential service call to a contractor who I'd also imagine would be grateful for extra work.
Hoping the City Inspectional Services might provide an update to the status of this long standing item. With the demands of social distancing and life safety concerns from falling bricks, it seems egregious to keep this sidewalk closed for nearly 7 months. I have seen a few chimney contractors working around the neighborhood so not sure why this hasn't been fixed?
