Description

Ongoing storm drainage issue. Since the repaving of Bickett Blvd in 2013 storm run off collects in this location. Now with new construction mud and debris fills in this depression. Often it floods 1/2 the street during prolonged or heavy rain, that causes drivers to either splash water far beyond the sidewalk or swerve left of center into the incoming lane. Two possible solutions: 1. Add asphalt to raise the street pitch to continue flow to the storm drains 150 feet south. 2. Cut asphalt from the curb section to achieve the same, though this may result in a second ponding at the next house south. This problem was reported 6 years ago and never addressed. Seemed time to try again as more construction has started north on the block. The roostertails sprayed on pedestrians is rather cold in the winter.
