Sarah: I agree with Jude. There are not enough homeless shelter beds.

I walk down at the Front Street park every day and I see people sleeping on the benches at different parts of the park daily.Today(9-12-13) was actually the first time in a long time that someone from the parks dept were there picking up the trash in the park.I was walking by one of the benches and saw three needles on the ground and two on the bench along with other drug by products.I called one of the workers over and asked him if he could clean up the mess.He did so and was real nice about it.He told me this happens all the time and it was not the first time that I have seen this at the park. I guess at night there is alot going on in the park that no one is aware of and something needs to be done about it.Maybe having some police patrol it at night.

I saw a man and woman sleeping on a blanket covered in beer cans early morning last week. That's not what people want to see at the park. Need to put a stop to it now. There are resources out there for homeless people.
