Description

I just noticed that you have reduced the speed and added speed limit signs to the west end of Whitaker Mill Rd. This is the end that has only one lane of traffic in each direction. There are no speed limit signs on the East end of Whitaker Mill Rd where there are 2 lanes of traffic in each direction between Reaves Dr and Old Wake Forest Rd.. Once cars hit this section starting at Reaves Dr. they increase speed dramatically. It is not uncommon to see cars going 50 mph. The only place to cross safely is at the traffic lights on Pine or Old Wake Forest Rd. The distance between the 2 is more than 1/2 mile. There are business that are walkable to the residents of the neighborhood but it is unsafe to walk. Will you please add speed limit signs and perhaps a stop sign and cross walk at the corner of Bernard and Whitaker Mill Rd at the least? This is the 1/2 way point. I also notice that you added more stop signs along Bernard to slow traffic. WHy not on Whitaker Mill Rd?
