The city has lot control, which they never had control of anyway, of the homeless camps, garbage on the streets and the general overall appearance of the city. All of these reporting's of homeless camps illegal dumping's has gotten worse through out the town and the city has no answer for it. Why not inform the maintenance division to clean up any garbage they come across instead of waiting to to get a work order or instructions from a cllck fix reporting to make its way down the bureaucracy bs to have it cleaned up. Can you imagine the garbage cleanup in this town if the taxpayer paid city workers stopped and picked up illegal dumpings as they drive around all day doing whatever they do all day!

The solution is to completely remove the concrete Independence Memorial, the public bathrooms that have no stall doors and the exterior doors are held open, and all of the bushes in that area. Clear it out, clear it all out. The drug dealing from that parking lot is very easy to see for anyone who wants to notice.
The best solution is to removed the concrete Independence Memorial, it never looked right after it was repainted to cover the graffiti, the small public bathroom building, and all of the bushes. Open that area up. It's time the waterfront is safe and restored, so everyone can enjoy the area.
The Memorial should be removed. COV dishonors we veterans by pretending to honor us with the Memorial. As is now stands, the Memorial's condition reflects the City's contempt for us and is another indication of the COV's attitude toward veterans.
