Thank you for reporting the issue to the City of Bridgeport. The below information was taken from CT State Attorney's Office website regarding price gouging, as is relates to COVID-19 (Coronavirus):
Consumers are encouraged to file complaints online and include the location of the store or online vendor, the date of the instance and any pictures that show suspected price hikes. Calls can be made to the office if consumers are unable to file online. The number is 860-808-5318.

Ricky B, your the problem with this world. This has nothing to do with economics. This is clearly store owners taking advantage of the situation at hand. They know people are in a panic and their profiting from it and that's against the law. Its called price gouging and maybe you should go back to school. People are unemployed and afraid and these stores are taking advantage of that. You have no compassion for people and your probably a miserable person. Go deal with that.
Thank you Mayors office for acknowledging this problem.
