Description
All along this stretch of Whitney, the sidewalk’s in really bad shape. Maybe it would be easier and better to rip it up and replace it with paving? In any case, consider this a ticket (for post-Rona days) for the sidewalk between Mike’s and the Children’s Center.

Thank you for reporting the site to the Town. We will be dispatching our inspector to the site to evaluate the sidewalk. Please allow us up to two weeks to conduct the inspection.
We are currently conducting inspections although there may be some delays in getting to a site with the CDC, State, and local restrictions. We are working remotely and will address all concerns registered. Our contractors are working with the same restrictions.

@Engineering -- I did see that there was already a ticket filed for the area in front of 1342, but I'm referring more to the whole stretch from 1342 to the Children's Center. That's on me for not doing better with the address in the ticket.
If specific address is important, let's call it 1346–1354 Whitney. I don't know from sidewalk repair, so I don't know if repairing a quarter-mile stretch is not materially more labor than repairing a 3-section stretch.

We are aware there are many parts of this stretch that need repair.
Mostly we need two things:
1. The weather to warm up so our sidewalk contractors can come back.
2. Enough of a budget to conduct work. Since June of 2016, we have done over $3,000,000 worth of repairs. Conservatively, we have another $15 million dollars worth of repairs to go.
I hope this answers your question. If not, please feel free to call the Engineering Office at 203-287-7040 M-F 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and we will try to provide you the answers you need.
