I agree 100 percent absolutely yes!!!!!!! Coles from 10th to 18th needs a real fix/clean up. With all those new buildings one would think this is a no brainer. Especially under the bridges 12 through 14th streets. It's so nasty trying to navigate dripping nasty water, garbage, homeless bedding, and speeding cars.
Just put a Jersey City Town engineer to design a nice bicycle/walk stretch connecting Downtown to the Heights and Hoboken.
And do it fast!!!!!!!

According to the Bike Master Plan, Coles St is not wide enough to provide a dedicated bike lane with one vehicular travel lane in each direction while also maintaining on-street parking. Plans for Coles St between 13th St and 18th St are to provide a shared street with marked super sharrows to indicate that bikes and vehicles must share the roadway. Please note that the City plans to continue the 18th St directional bike lanes westward to Coles St and along Hoboken Ave to Rt 139. The goal is to complete this connection this year.
