Description

This is a picture of the valve box that is leaking into the area around the valve box. There is a little valve on the left side that is where the leak is coming from. This value box was installed by the City of Oakland years ago. The valve box is in the Stonehurst Garden (formerly Stonehurst Park) next to the parking lot. The workers who excavated this were concerned if they tried to use the shutoff and move the leaking valve, there would be breakage. There is also a corroded, rusted metal pipe that is broken.
