In recent weeks, a Fair Haven based boxing club has been using the Wilbur Cross HS track as their workout location in the evening. Instead of using the field, they congregate at one end of the track and block all the lanes so people waking and running cant get through without either going onto the grass or squeezing through at an unsafe distance. They arent using masks. They spar on the track so no one can use the lanes, and they sprint in clockwise direction which is against track rules. They are definitely not social distancing amonst themselves. They are extremely inconsiderate and unsafe. They're gonna get the track shut down for all the local residents who cherish this peaceful outdoor space in East Rock! Really a shame because there is plenty of room for all there, they just act like they own it. Highly doubt they have a permit. If so, they shouldnt.
