说明
NOTE: I reported this over 9 months ago to Brookhaven. Never heard any follow up. I have previously reported this to DeKalb Co. and met w/a transpo engineer but nothing happened. We have painted crosswalks from Kaleidoscope across Dresden to the office buildings there - but NO pedestrian crossing signals. It's impossible to cross there safely. We also have crossing issues from Kaleidoscope to Savi (going across Caldwell) - when you "land" at Savi, there is no place to stand to wait to cross to the other side of Dresden. This is particularly dangerous if you have a bike or stroller. In other words, there is NO way to cross Dresden safely at Caldwell - either going over to Savi or trying to cross at the painted crosswalks from Kaleidoscope.
The transpo engineer told me the project was approved to add pedestrian crossings and fix the landing space in front of Savi but I don't know if it was funded.

We are aware of the situation here and have this location on our list of projects that we are evaluating for funding in our 2014 budget. We will also be evaluating the entire Dresden Dr corridor for traffic and pedestrians as part of the Comprehensive Transportation Plan which will be developed during the first half of 2014. Finally, we have applied for a grant from the state for upgrading all of the traffic signals, including upgrades for pedestrians along Dresden Dr. We expect to hear about this grant before the end of the year.
We will provide updates when we have more information on the timing of any improvements.
Thanks

We have been awarded the grant for signal improvements, including pedestrian upgrades, for the Dresden corridor. We will begin hiring a consultant this summer to begin the planning and design of the project. We are also addressing this corridor as part of our Comprehensive Transportation Plan.
in the short term, we have ordered some additional pedestrian signage, including the in street "state law stop for pedestrian" signs and these should be installed in the next few weeks.
