I do not live near here; I live at the other end of the street. BUt I pass it everyday. Since I do not own a chain saw, I cannot do it myself. It is a mess.

It is still the jungle. This is a river-front neighborhood in the city that numerous folks, myself included, have been trying revitalize. One would think the city would want to help accentuate that there is a beautiful river running through it. But the view is almost totally obstructed my HUGE invasive weeds - the size of trees. Please help us beautify our river front to help our continued revitalization.

These "weed trees" were cut down mid-stump. All along the river are these tall stumps along a falling down fence. In some places, the fence is so collapsed that it creates an opening to the river. It is a danger for kids who live across the street in the Q terrace. It also looks terrible. Please remove the stumps and put in a fence.

We have our fingers crossed. Half of the stretch is being fixed - the fence is down and the weed trees are pulled. We just hope they continue the work for the whole stretch, up to where the new fence is. Then, I will close it.

I am assuming that the weeds, now trees, along the collapsing fence will be fixed when work on the sea wall resumes. Is that true? Someone please verify.

Weeds, more like trees, are rapidly growing. They are also growing along a fence that is falling down. The fence is so old, and there are numerous gaps in it. There are a lot of young children in that area. If they fall through, it is quite a drop to the water. Please replace that stretch of fence, and while doing so, remove the weed-trees.

The other issue here - in addition to the weeds - is a falling-down fence. This fence, with gaps where kids can fall through, is right near the playground. Most of the fence was replaced but not this section. If a kid gets/falls through, it is a decent drop into the river. FIX IT!

THIS WAS NOT FIXED! I opened in in August of 2008. The fence is still falling down. There are still many gaps in the fence leaving openings right into the river. And it is near a playground. A kids could get really hurt. Also, there are hug tree stumps that turn into weed trees in the spring and summer obscuring the view of the river. Why did the city close this issue? Because it is almost 6 years old and not been fixed?! I will post pictures because it seems obvious that no one has come out from the city to assess the situation.

This issue WAS not resolved. Stop closing it. Just replace the collapsing fence and remove stumps. Call me at 203.624.6509 if you have questions. Again, this issue is not resolved. I opened it in 2008. I posted pictures.

The broken fence is a major part of the problem. It is rusty, drooping. There are holes in it leading to the river, from a drop. It is near the playground. Kids could fall into the river. ALL that keeps being done is that whomever cuts the weeds-trees in the middle of the trunk. They do not replace the fence. Then the weed-tree keep growing back. Let me make it clear: CUT DOWN THE WHOLE OF EACH WEED-TREE AND REPLACE THE FENCE. This is not just blight. It is a dangerous situation.
