Description

In the past month there have been 2 major accidents at this intersection. The most recent today 9/30/2020 involving 2 cars and a light pole - one car was totaled and required ambulance. Last month a teenager drove into a telephone pole, it required the entire street to be shut down and a new telephone pole had to be brought in. Cars speed down Elm Street much faster than the speed limit (35 mph). There are no speed limit signs near this intersection and I believe that is part of the problem. I would like to request a Radar speed sign be placed on Elm St. near the intersection of Elm and Potter Rd, preferably in both directions. there are a lot of children who live on this street and it seems increasingly dangerous to live here. Please help!

Q. Is your request regarding roadways or roadway signage, please provide details for your request.
A. roadway signage needed on Elm St near Potter Rd intersection. MPH signs and/or radar speed sign
Q. Is your request regarding Traffic Planning and Regulation, please provide details for your request:
A. Elm St., specifically near the Potter Rd intersection has become increasingly dangerous. There have been 2 major accidents in the past month. Cars speed down Elm St, much faster than the speed limit. There is a lack of mph signs which may be the issue. Please consider placing mph signs, preferably radar feedback signs so cars can notice how fast they're driving. It is nerve wracking to live on this road, there are many children including my own.
