Description

Can the city please add improvements to this intersection make it safer to cross. There aren't any pedestrian signals and with most of the cars coming off Edgewood turning right many do not yield to pedestrians. Also as the photo shows there are big trucks that park right up to and into the crosswalk making it really impossible for oncoming cars to see pedestrians that are entering the crosswalk. It would be best if you could enforce the daylighting of this intersections by putting up barriers that make it impossible to park in those no-parking areas. And, I've suggested this before but you could also install a bike corral as the barrier which would provide up to 10 spots for bike parking while preserving the visibility at the intersection.
