No change, except that DEP is now DEEP. Asbestos? Lead? Particulate matter can't trigger indoor sensors if outside doors are left open, interrupting the laminar flow of air to the sensors charged with detecting these toxins.

Rob, same. The whole design of the facility was based on trucks entering the facility, the doors shutting completely, off loading of construction/demolition debris into rail cars within the facility, doors opening and trucks departing. The railcars were to be tarped before they then left the "onion dome" facility. The issue is particulates. The community was worried about lead dust, among other pollutants, in "demolition debris of unknown origin" which is trucked to the facility. We were assured that the sensors that Circle of Life had in the facility were sensitive enough to pick up contaminants that may become airborn in the offloading process into the rail cars BECAUSE the doors of the facility shut, thus allowing for accurate readings. When the doors never close, and airborn, hazardous pollutants become waft about and out the door, how can these "sensitive sensors" obtain any valid data? I have never seem the loading doors to this facility closed. The community was encouraged to keep an eye on the facility as we know DEEP is staffed far from the cavalry in being able to monitor this facility closely. As I said, I have yet to witness this facility in the Quinnipiac River/Little River watershed operate as we were assured it would. The doors visible from the highway are never closed no matter what time I pass on I 91. As I write this the doors are open with huge piles of construction debris outside the facility.
