Description
Those food trucks on Long Wharf are destroying the beauty of the area. In addition to the trash that both the trucks leave around (overfilled trashbins, overflowing boxes next to the bins, the smell of grease) and the customers (trash all over the ground, on the picnic tables, and sadly on the memorials) are leaving around, it is dangerous for drivers and pedestrians. People are double parking in the road, they run out between and in front of cars, and speed around. I have seen rats and the number of seagulls and crows the mess is creating is a health hazard.

so don't expect anything to change. Those trucks, and the patrons are ruining what's left of the nature preserve with their garbage and filth.

I agree, the City of New Haven should be ashamed of itself to allow those vendors to totally destroy what could be a beautiful area.
Has anyone from the Health Dept. been down there lately to see what a disgusting mess it has become?!? Why anyone would want to eat there is beyond me! Rats feeding out of the overflowing trash cans, seagulls flying overhead spreading God only knows what over everyone and everything!!! Where is the Police Dept. to ticket the double and triple parkers? Children running back and forth across the street between cars.
What a MESS, clean it up New Haven!!!!
